Description: Action continues at the 2007 World Series Of Poker Main Event. The game as always is no-limit Texas hold'em with a buy-in of $10,000, and the starting field of 6,358 competitors vying for the $8 million first place prize and title has been whittled in half. Still in the running and at the featured tables are 1998 Main Event champion Scotty Nguyen, poker pros "Miami" John Cernuto and Sabyl Cohen, and several other colorful characters. Elsewhere in the Rio's Amazon Room you can find players of note such as 2005 Main Event champion Joe Hachem, poker moms Shirley Williams and Jane Gold, respected pro/author/former champ "Action" Dan Harrington, co-creator of The Simpsons Sam Simon, WPT Championship runner-up Kirk Morrison, and father and son duo Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok. Commentary is provided as usual by Lon McEachern and Norman Chad. |
